Do you have .backup files inside your PR folder? (<bf2 install dir>/mods/pr/)

If so, rename those files (remove the ".backup" part). See how well that goes?

You did:
install BF2
run patch 1.41
Install PR"core"
Install PR"levels"
Run battlefield cleaner

Didn't you?

No I far as I know the battle cleaner won't hurt your install. The deleted files are regenerated when the game restarts.
If you disabled the intro movies it just lets you load the game faster. Most everyone kills 'em in the first week of play as the intros don't affect game play in anyway.

What if anything is different now?
Your still having "spike out" problems.
Do you mean CTD?
When I hear "spike" I think of a "lag spike' when the server pauses for 2 to 25 seconds but manages to recover and keep going.

Have you tried to replace your profile folder to rule out corrupted preference files?

The error message seems to point to your shaders

You cant remove .backup because it's the extention
Make a copy of it (Ctrl+C) and paste it into a new folder called "backups" for safe keeping.
Rename the file:
"shaders_client.zip.backup" to
"oldshaders_client.zip.backup" or something

That should do what [R-DEV]AfterDune sugested and change the file name.
I think changing it will trigger a new "fresh" copy to be generated.
Hopfull [R-DEV]AfterDune will elaborate on his thinking.

Good luck

Ok guys thanks for all your help but this problem isn't going any time soon so the only option is now is to format the computer itself then to see if it works if it don't then i know the graphic's card has gone, once again thanks for the help.

I figured his shaders_client.zip file wasn't there (it's possible), but the .backup file was. Of course you can't rename it if the .zip file is there already.. But you can rename it if it isn't. It's no problem to remove the .backup part of the files..........

And I didn't suggest to rename it to something else, I meant it the way I said it, remove the ".backup" part of the files. But that didn't work, since the .zip files existed (which I assumed didn't).

But unfortunately, the OP is still having problems..
