The only issue I have had is that the IGI server boots me after 2 minutes for mod5tool punkbuster issue but the other servers I have tried so far including Tactics seem to work fine. Not really bothered about going back to normal BF2 so I haven't tried reverting the batch file yet but would like to say thanks again for making it possible that I can actually get on a server ! Cheers pal

Yes it still works for v0.8. However it's too bad it's still needed though.

Thanks, I can now start the mod on WinXP, with downloaded version of BF2, and non-default directory installation location.

I started getting the Alt F4 Warning Screen ever since a server I was on crashed. I uninstalled everything, repatched and then added the PR Core and Level files numerous times; nothing worked. I even tried the batch file, still nothing. My shortcut "target" and "start in" boxes were correct.
This is what worked: After uninstalling everything, manually delete any file still left in these folders: (examples below are if you installed in the default area) C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 and all the files in ...My Documents\Battlefield 2 Apparently, when the PR server went down it corrupted one of these files that did not get deleted automatically in the uninstall. |

It renames warning.bik to warning.bik.removed (or similar - I can't say for sure now). If the warning screen is still present after using the 2play_pr.bat script then something went wrong and the script didn't work as it should. If this happened the script should have written out an error.
