Ok update: If I leave the warning message on for about 5 minutes, the game will start. I can join servers with no problems, but it will randomly disconnect me and give me the Shader error, which can be found in this thread:
http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-...er-issues.html Thought I'd share. |

full report.
we have a fix. it is not a coding error, but rather a shader error. which explains the MD5's and the kicks, and the warning screen at the start. i shall have [R-DEV]Gaz put a sticky up with a fix, if he will. if not Rawwk has the details (he was the lab rat for gaz's experimnets lol). Rawwk now has a working version i will shortly and so will all of you guys, woot woot. |

Hold on a second, it was me who made the fix.
I'm still working on it. I want to make sure it's working correctly and is easy to use. Besides, the MD5 kicks for shaders are not caused by the bug I've found a solution to. If you're getting kicked and the warning screen doesn't show up, then the shader files are just corrupted (reinstall). |

OK, here I come with my flashback to 80's and the era of MS-DOS - the operating system older than me!
PR Batch Scripts - the fix for people with warning screens even after using pr.exe shortcut to start. (not tested if it solves the MD5 kicks, but I doubt it does...) First off, this is an unofficial "product". It has nothing to do with the PR Devs, EA, DICE, your dog or anything else you can think of Second, I have no responsibility for any possible hardware and/or software damage that might happen to you while using these files, use at your own risk. Third, I cannot guarantee it will work for you. It did work for Rawkk, who deserves to be credited for his huge help when it came to testing. This is still an early beta stage of the fix. If it works fine for everyone else, I might eventually create an independent thread for it. Forth, RTFM! No, I'm not kidding. Even though the names of the files are quite self-explanatory you might damage some game files if you don't stick to the manual... |
