he's having the same problem as me, i'll post the link to my post below.

but the problem is not solve-able as far as i know. i know because i have tried everything but re-writing the code myself.

the problem occurs because the developers of PR did not take into account the Battlefield 2 game downloadable from EA Link.

to anyone who has a Retail Battlefield 2 this might sound stupid. but as one of the very few that bought the game online i know the files in battlefield 2 are very different to the ones in a retail game.

I know this because i have chad countless MD5Tool mismatch kicks all because of the different BF2.exe file. it is possible to change the BF2.exe file to a retail version but it will cause a hell of a laggy game on a retail server.

so all in all. both PR and EA messed up Bigstyle. BF2 bought online is unplayable in multiplayer and PR is uninstallable thanks to the new update.

Just to prove this i have posted the links below of every check and fix i have tried.

Im pretty sure I had the same problem as you. When I updated PR 0.7 to 0.75 I did not click the "Create a shortcut" box when finnishing the install. For some reason, when I clicked on the old shortcut (Used in 0.7), I got an error saying the same thing yours did. I deleted the shortcut and manually created a new one off the pr.exe file, but then when I opened this it opened vBF2, not PR at all. In the end, I reinstalled the 0.75 patch and clicked the "Create a shortcut" box at the end of the install. This shortcut worked for some reason. I do not remember what the paths were for the old shortcut, or why it didnt work, but the new one worked. This could be something compleatly different than what is happening to you, but if you did the same thing I did, then give it a try

That should help.
It is "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2" ...

And my path to bf2.exe is C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2

Smile Same problem, same error, same problem history

I bought BF2 complete edition from EA Online store, downloaded it with EA Download Manager and successfully installed to default directory: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2
small explanation about bf2 complete edition: It is BF2+ Special Forces+ Euro Forces + Armored Fury all in one instalation setup, already patched to 1.41. You run in and after instalation you have bf2 and booster packs installed and patched to 1.41
According to PR instalation giude you should install booster packs in order, but by BF2 complete edition you dont get a choice
It can really be the problem with EA Download maanager wchich runs automatically bf2.exe
All we can do now is waiting for more replies
