Can`t start PR under vista

Hi, everytime when i start PR (vista 32, PR 0.75) i get:

"faild: You must run this executable as an Administrator due to a bug in windows. See Security Update MS00-024 Breaks SHGetFolderPath in Shfolder.dll Zugriff verweigert"

i already started as an administrator (under properties); BF 2 works without a problem; when i logged in as an administrator it works, but then i have other problems (cd key, lost all settings).

Have anybody an idea?

Do you have 'Run as Administrator' ticked also on pr.exe located in ...\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\ ?

yes, pr.exe is ticked as "run as administrator", also bf2.exe

hey there.... i have vista too.... not for long i hope .... u need to right click on PR icon and click "Run as Administrator" this will open the game and it should run ok.

ok there are also some 'hot fixes' that you could download. but im not sure what ones u need.... i think the is a thread in this forums about them... i will have a look

Hi, thanks for the answers.... i installed several hot fixes (20-30) but it still doesn´t work. Is anybody here who knows which kind of hot fix solve the problem?

Maybe an other way is to get all (all!!) admin rights for a "normal" admin user...?
