Freezing and stuttering in PR

Just out of curiosity what's your chipset?

As you know my pc has been boned lately, along with another chap in the same sort of way who's running dual 8800gt's in SLi.

I do believe we're both on the i915G chipset... Don't know what that may have to do with it.

Also try this command Game.lockfps 0 that'll take off the 100fps restrictor and really let your card stretch its legs.

If I'm smack bang in the middle of zatar looking around Ill be on about 45fps. whack in that command and It'll soar 50, 60, 70, 75 and balancing at around 80 have a go

I'll give it a try Sadist. Don't have time to check my chipset right now, but I'll get back to you on that.


Also, I just realized that I forgot to say I installed another GB of RAM. That could definitely have been the fix.

Haven't had a problem since I ran scandisc. Although I haven't been on Fools Road.

it is a console command

open your console (use the key above tab "^" [heard its Tilde "~" at US kboards xD]) and type it

for further convinience:

add "Game.lockfps 0" to the "gamelogicinit.con" in the .../bf2/mods/pr
ends up something like this:

gameLogic.noVehiclesOmit ars_d30
gameLogic.noVehiclesOmit usart_lw155
gameLogic.noVehiclesOmit usaas_stinger
gameLogic.noVehiclesOmit igla_djigit

pb_sleep 500
endrem

Game.lockfps 0
renderer.drawfps 1

this way you don't have to type it in the console every time you join a game

this is awesome! a real increase of performance! this should get an own sticky threat

(fps from around 60 now at 130 (average) - so almost nomore stuttering because of frame rate drops, thx cain!)
