I have noticed flickering on buildings (windows etc) when I use the binoculars. But that's not so annoying. What kind of graphic settings (in game) you use? Try to increase details or lower them. Have you overclocked your cards?

EDIT: DieselOne has tested with two differend boards (chip sets) so this is a irrelevant question: (What motherboards do you have?)

8800 gfx cards are really sensitive to these kinds of problems.
Flickering meshes happens a lot. Try older drivers if you have an 8800. The latest are horrible in BF2.

I've got GF FX 5700 (old crap...) and happens to me all the time.
It's overclocked ATM, but it was happening even when I clocked it down.
Also drivers make no difference.

Running everything on low/disabled @1024x768, 100% draw distance.

It sounds like you have some driver inconsistencys, i would say despite the kashan issue mentioned.
Have you tried a driver cleaning util and i presume you uninstalled the driver before installing your latest vid card?

You didn't mention your OS. Win 32 SP2? Vista? 32/64?

165.01 forceware is providing some good results on my 8800GTX, on WinXP 32 bit SP2, so try that.

Forceware 165.01 download link:

In terms of the flickering textures, that doesn't seem to make a difference what drivers you use, but the crashes i would certainly find the right driver pairing for your card/selection of games you need to run.

me too.
and dude, that little flickering stuff you got going on there is a luxury problem.
imagine all groundtextures in your viewfield flicker black randomly, even when youre still. I cant play forest maps since it gives me headaches and eye cancer.

i dont have any crashes. my problem in bf2 and in PR is the flickering on the weapons and on the ground. i have tried many driver versions, but nothing helped. before i have bought the geforce 8800 gts, i had a geforce 7800 gt and there was no flickering.

my system

opteron 170 @ 2,7ghz
geforce 8800 gts 640 mb ( 162.18 )
asus a8n-e
2gb ram
win xp sp2 with all updates and newest drivers ( non beta )

sorry for gramatical mistakes. my english is not the best..

Hm, never had such terrible problems.

What's the rest of your specs and what driver do you use ?

Blackburn4717537: Have you tried unofficial drivers ?
