dvd drive is dead, any way to still play PR?

Before I go any further, I'm not looking to hack or steal anything. i own TWO copies of BF2 actually. But my DVD drive wont detect ANY disks, audio or data. So can I still play BF2 or not? I don't know if a NOCD will let me...if this is illegal to talk about here, just close the thread, it won't be a problem. If you want proof that i own the game i can post pics. talk to me on aim at RKGreen04 if you have any tips please. or reply here. thanks guys.

and before anyone suggests running out and buying a new drive, im in ohio, and im snowed in lol

Use a "mini image" that you can find on the net. There are a couple of versions, find one that works when you mount in Daemon Tools. Do not use a nocd replacement .exe file as punkbuster willl get mad with you

ah. see i tried a no-cd, and all the PR servers were red. I'm not sure if I have bf 1.41 or 1.4 installed. Which do I need?

And where can I find a mini image? I have daemon tools, etc. but i cant find the image file i need. if you can help me i will make love to you.

I wouldn't risk it, personally. (PunkBuster bans and whatnot.)
What are DVD drives now, $10? Free from a friend?! Go get one.

you wont get a ban from using a mini image lol, I use one all the time to save using the DVD all the time, so it is still in pristine condition.

make a mini image with alcohol 120% and mount it with daemon tools and have fun....wait i think you are gonna need your dvd drive for that... well then find a mini image and do it
