So lads, since a couple of days i got this problem
when i go to the start menu and hit computer (to show all the drives) it either doesnt open it at all, or gives me a new blank explorer window which isn't responding. in both cases after around 5 min everything will display as it should, but something's wrong there... i already ran malwarebytes scan, didnt find anything, i defragged (no that it helps anything anyways). I read somewhere that setting the DCOM service to manual, but before I do that i wanna ask around here any solutions? |

Do you have any discs in your optical drive?
Try disconnecting the optical drive and try again. I get a prob like this when my optical drive refuses to read the disc that's in it lol. |

and strange that it only started recently like that... |

hmm, i turned off my phones bluetooth
now it seems to work fine, my pc always connects to my pc via bluetooth once i'm in the same room, so i can see who's calling me, so i can take calls with my pc, send sms etc.. strange though, this never affected the pc performance at all, never!! first i thought it was deamon tools, or something else, but then i remembered that i had a nokia pc suite update, that was probably it.. i should remember this for the future: never update software, unless it's broken or not performing as it should.. |

No, always update software in my opinion, for the new software fixes bugs and exploits of the old. An un-updated copy of Windows XP that "works fine" is in fact a leaky virus magnet ready to explode.
