Question Possible RAM issues?

Hi,i could really need some help with a problem that has been buging me some time now.
Yes,i did do searches i couldnt find annything that would help me solve this problem.

When i play PR (this is mostly the only game i play) the game will freeze randomly for a few seconds.
It doesnt follow anny pattern and the freeze can last annywhere from 2-15 seconds, then it will run smoothly until the next freeze.

I initially thought that this was only confined to PR,but lately it has been spreading to other fullscreen games, online flashgames and even now as im typing this..

The freezes only lasts for a few seconds when im not ingame but still very anoying!
I do have some suspects in this case and it think it started after i installed Rocketdock and Rainmeter.
I havent tryed uninstalling these just yet incase the problem is hardware related.

I ran a memorytest using MemTest and it found no errors after aprox 20 min of testing.
The reason im suspecting low performance from my ram is when i exit PR after som gaming (whether it be 1 hour or 10 min) it takes a serious amount of time (sometime minutes) before i can use annything thats on the desktop or other programs.
Ventrilo will skip like a broken record if someone is talking at the shutdown point and everything is slow, like im back in the 90´s or something..

Could this be that i have too much crap running in the background and/or could it be that i need to get ram with a higher mhz?

This is getting really anoying and i could realy use some insight in how to solve this issue.

Now,what i have tryed is:
Reformating (a few months ago though)
Doing some defrags
Reinstalling bf2 and pr (completely!)
Running MemTest
checking my systemtray to see if i have soemthing abnormal hoging my stash
Complete virus scan with Kaspersky (paid vershon, fully updated)
Making shure there is no virus scans runnig,at least scheduled ones

And finaly the rig specs:
MOBO:
Asus P5Q-PRO
RAM:
Corsair Twin2X 6400 DDR2, 4096MB CL5, Kit w/two matched CM2X2048-6400 Dimm's (TWIN2X4096-6400C5 G)
GFX:
Asus HD4850 Matrix pcie 512mb gddr3
and 650w PSU (corsair i think,not sure :P )

I apologize for writing a small essey about this and i hope you can bare with me
Manny thanks in advance

Yeah,been thinking about them too..
Thing is that i did try to update my video drivers some time ago and then everything got fubar!
So i had to roll back my drivers just to even see the desktop.
It looked like one of the earliest "colour screens" for a mobile phone ine the 90´s..! :P
I think it was something like 8-bits and maybe 5 colours ore something :P

Ill do e new search though and see if i can come up with something

Make sure you arent using any USB thumb drives or such for ReadyBoost. Readyboost will do that..mess up FPS games like this one.

Realism and fun aren't mutually exclusive.
