CD Key Suddenly Invalid

This pisses me off because BF2 is only one of three games that I have honestly acquired. It was about a week I took off from BF2, but when I went to join a server I get "CD Key Invalid". Ive already tried re-installing the game and patching but that didnt work. A couple of other things Ive noticed that are wrong are:
The splash image not appearing when running bf2 or pr
There is no Battlefield 2 folder in the registery; HKLM/Software/Electronic Arts/EA Games

All of this still persists after reinstalling the game.

Please help me idk what else to do.

The above guide wouldnt help me, just because bf2 is completely missing from my registry. I went ahead and fully re-installed the game. But now theres a new problem. I joined a vanilla server, and once it was done loading I ctd. Not that big a deal, but now when I try to start up bf2, my screen just blinks and spits me out to my desktop without any error message.

*sigh, should probly make a new thread.
