Hi there
I have search around in many forums and havent found a solution yet. Its the same error in vanilla and PR. - LOCAL multiplayer works ok, so i guess its not a grfx problem. I am updated with latest patches bf2/pr When i join an online multiplayer session it CTD at once. Debug error: "An exception 'Unhandled Win32 Exception' has occurred in process 2620" I have updated XP, removed and reinstalled .net 2.0/3.0/3.5 finally no error when installing latest .net. PB is manually updated. Help anyone? /sEi |

This is the first time I have ever seen this problem reported...very odd. Usually the crash is right after the game starts, right after the map has completed loading, or while one is actually in the server, playing.
This leads me to believe that the problem stems not from BF2 or PR, but some sort of firewall or network driver that is creating a communication failure. I recommend checking your security software (if you have any) and ensure that BF2/PR is allowed to communicate with the internet. Also, you can try updating your network drivers...I don't know which NIC you have, so here are some links to various network drivers: Realtek: Realtek Marvel: Marvell: Consumer Driver Search nVidia: Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers (Select nForce; this includes drivers for the chipset and onboard NIC.) I have no idea if this will work for you, but if nothing else does, you can try it (read "Resolution"): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811191 |

You didn't mention anything about security software or firewalls. Have you made sure those are functioning properly? | |

SFC scan found no corrupt files, and have tested disabling antivirus and firewall. Still no good
Hmmm? |

Go to audio.con in my documents -> battlefield 2 -> profiles -> 000# that is your profile, open audio .con, paste this over the voip ones, side affect is you wont have voip.
AudioSettings.setVoipEnabled 0 AudioSettings.setVoipPlaybackVolume 0 AudioSettings.setVoipCaptureVolume 0 AudioSettings.setVoipBoostEnabled 0 AudioSettings.setVoipUsePushToTalk 0 |
