Now that I have patched to BF1.5 PR 0.87 & it refuses to run correctly with AA on.
With AA on my game doesn't render ground textures. Turn AA off runs as should but now I have too many jaggies Running ATi 4870x2, Win7 64 have tried BF fresh install and Ati 9.7 and 9.8 (latest) drivers. Has anyone experienced / fixed this problem? |

In Catalyst control center, go to the 3D section. Click "All" at the right at set everything to the following:
Smoothvision HD anti-aliasing: check application settings, make sure filter is set to box Smoothvision HD anisotropic: you can either use application settings it set it yourself. I think it looks better when you manually set it though Disable Catalyst A.I: should be unchecked, I have the slider set to "advanced." Mipmap detail level: high quality Wait for vertical refresh: on, unless application specifies Adaptive Anti-Aliasing: box checked, set to Quality Now besides this, you may not have AA actually on in BF2 because in some situations, it will refuse to set it. Shut down BF2, go to [My Documents]\Battlefield 2\Profiles\001 [or whatever profile number you're using, if you just have one profile it will be 001]\Video.con and find the line VideoSettings.setAntialiasing Set it to: VideoSettings.setAntialiasing 8Samples and save the file. Now if it still won't work, it's a Crossfire type issue. I don't know if you can turn one GPU off in your videocard or not, but look around in Catalyst for Crossfire options. An X2 is basically Crossfire in one videocard, with the two GPU's sharing the same memory interface and buffer. |

Snares thanks for the tip. Unfortunately tho that it still didnt work.
What did work was the new Alt- Tab patch that was just released. |

AA is still not working for me. When AA is on, no ground textures render and the ground becomes see through.

why you dont use ingame AA? Alt-Tab works fine with new fix and it wont create graphic problems

ah, i see, i thought you were using CCC only, what drivers are you on? i had problems with textures on 9.8, on 9.6 works fine
