Default [References] FA-MAS standard loading and firing operating procedures

Procedures from oenomaosfr, a retired soldier, compiled and illustrated in French by [R-COM]Sgt_Doctor. Some of the following references will not be "used" in game stricto senso, but I'm sure some people will be interested by them.

There are two firing selectors on the FAMAS

The first one :
-placed on the middle : Safe Mode
-on the left : Burst/Full Auto
-on the right : Semiautomatic.

The second one allows you to switch between Full Auto and Burst modes, when the first selector is on the left :

3 for the burst mode, 0 for full auto.

The three firing modes will be featured. I advise you not to use the full auto mode with this weapon, the firing rate is pretty high, and your mag will be empty before you realize it (the mag contains only 25 cartridges for the FAMAS F1 unlike the FAMAS G2 used by our Navy which accepts as well STANAG mags)

How to reload your FA-MAS as a good French soldier (I should have said a good "légionnaire", you would have been more impressed ) :

-Turn your rifle by 45° on the right (@Chuc, I remember it's the same at this step for the qbz95), always keep the "firing hand" near the trigger, only the other hand has to do the reloading operations.

(disclaimer : this is not the final ironsight version, the sight is fubarded by the current animations.)
-Put the empty mag in your pouche, if you let it fall, your instructor will not be happy ("Seconde classe Hauteclocque, vous me nettoierez les latrines avec votre brosse à dents pendant deux semaines !")

-Take a full one, and hit the metal part indicated by the red arrow(reversed, it should be on the other side) to check if the mag has exactly 25 cartridges and not one more.
-Insert the mag
-To rearm the rifle, act like Hillary Clinton in the following pic, take two fingers, and pull the hammer with them.

I will post the rifle grenade shooting procedures later.

Second Hauteclocque class, you will clean me the latrines with your brush with teeth during two weeks

In REAL english, something about second class, you'll have to clean the latrines with your toothbrush for two weeks.

Also, with the ROF, How fast are we talkin here? Like MP5 fast or AA-Humvee Fast?

Hum, google translation is cheesy !
But your translation is quite funny

"Private Hauteclocque, you will clean the latrines* with your toothbrush for two weeks !"

*toilets : dunno if you use many times latrines in English, we don't in French I will not blame you.

About the ROF, it's 1000 shots per minute for the FAMAS F1, the one you will see in game and 1100 for the FAMAS G2 (Navy version). (the M16 series are between 700 and 950 according to the versions, SA80 900). Unfortunately, I know they have been issues about the MG3 ROF, I don't know if we will be able to put 1000 in the codes, the limit is 900 I believe.
For the FAMAS G2, look at 0:50, in two seconds the mag is empty.

@Chuc, I will make a drawing.

Edit :

When I say "hit", it's very light, like some soldiers do with their mags on their helmets before loading the rifle in other countries. Here you hit with the top of the mag the metal part indicated by the red arrow, if there were too many cartridges, they would go out of the mag when you "hit" the metal part.

Edit 2 : Oh yes, I read again what I told in the first post and what you answered, I understand now, I didn't mention the mag when I said hit

Damn firefox, I was near to finish this post and it crashed...

There will be three different grenades : AT, AP, and smoke (two of each type to balance the fact that the French grenadier will be a potential vehicle killer, an AT grenade can destroy a car/jeep in one shoot, and heavily damage an APC according to oenomaosfr, our former MA. Moreover, the deploying time will be much longer than for a standard grenadier)

Instructions for the rifle grenades :
-Put your rifle against your right shoulder (like in the pics above)
-Unfold the rg sight, before :

After :

-Remove the pin with your left hand (your right hand should always be near the trigger as stated before)
-Screw the grenade on the muzzle brake, you should listen a "click" when you release the grenade, if you have well pushed the grenade, that mean your grenade is ready to be fired.
-Then place your hands like in the following pics :

-Be ready to have your shoulder destroyed.
-Aim
-Fire
-Profit.

If you need any information Chuc, ask me.

Do you have plans to include Famas variant with M203 ?

It might be a M203 variant, but this one is not used often.

That is very funny with the FAMAS grenadier, they would save medical bills if the soldiers had M203's, but alas the commission/backhanders in Paris would be less....
