i am using a custom sky from cgtextures...
it looks almost the same as this:

ah yes, Kashan02.dds if I'm not mistaken. thats a nice sky to use, but you will need to change the sky.con settings if you are gonna have that kind of red in ur sky imo

i got bugged tiles after i lightmapped the terrain...

Not really, the only difference between the SF NV and the real life NV is that in SF, you can't see objects too far away from you and in real life, you can't see objects less than 25cm near to you, but it don't have a maximum range.
