Well, thats what I can see wrong with it.
Thats not to say you've done bad mapping. Many bases in current PR maps share the same faults(in fact, probably most of them do). And if your going to put mounted MGs or TOWs about, make sure they make sense and plays dont get trapped on the weapons and cant exit.

im moving the base to outside the town and making it among the open wheat fields

Nigth map dosent work rigth on Bf2 as you can put your gamma up and then you dont need NV's and such.
Besides it would problibly be to much one sided as I believe Insurgents dont have NV's not alot of them in any case. I would love to see it more in the early/late day where you have a really nice sunrise/sunset as in barracuda.

Did you ever played SF? The nightmaps of it are all good and very playable

a dark map with no NV...I think you'd might wanna check the light settings used in the R-Com version of Fallujah (raid at fallujah or something like that).
