A little off topic, but I saw this and wanted to let you and the other mappers know about a great opportunity for anyone doing an Afghanistan map...
The National Geographic channel is airing a show on their "Explorer" series called "Camp Leatherneck." It's an hour-long look at several of the Marine Corps FOBs in Afghanistan. Not only was it very interesting, but I bet it would be very helpful for realistic mapping and provide some great ideas. I think it's only on for the next few days, then they switch to another topic completely. |
