Why post it if not for criticism and suggestions? WIP things will always be criticised, if you dont like it then dont announce you are making a map.
No, it sounds like just because it's not done yet, it should not be there at all...

Smooth tool on a smallish setting?
A non-corrupted applied spline still comes out better.

Well its in the middle of a long road right now, ith no obvious reason for it to be there. It would be better at an intersection.

XKCD forums, in the middle of a perfectly sane conversation:
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
Best post ever made!

The fact that you can set up a little stall there and sell things to people going to a larger number of different places than if you set up your stall on a straight bit if road. It eventually becomes a market town, so some of CRFs tarps would fit in well...

You're not seriously expecting that F-18 to be able to land on that carrier. Are you? Why not make a small island base? Not EVERY single Marine Mission is amphibious...

Any jet could land on the carrier, just needs some tweaking to decelerate fast enough. And currently the F18's handling is buggered anyway. Or there won't be any F18s at all.

In game, most jets can land on the USS Essex.
But the thing is, the USS Essex is not a fullblown aircraft carrier. It is an amphibious assault ship.

This is the Essex

This is a French Carrier
(the smaller one)
And this is a supercarrier

The French carrier can't land planes without the arresting hooks. The USS Abraham Lincoln could barely land the C-130 back in the 50's. The American Supercarriers need the arresting hooks, BUT The Essex has none. It would be impossible to land the F/A-18 on that deck and unrealistic.

As a mapper my self, I crave for criticism such as Jonny's.....it is better to point out faults now then later.

anyway it looks like a decent start/concept, all I have to say is maybe make it like a ww1 style map, with loads of trenches and damaged terrain.
