Seems likely that the PSC will get a real AR, I'd imagine a PKM or something. Also, it seems likely there will be significant deviation changes in 0.9, so I wouldn't really worry about it.

Some of the Insurgents/taliban should get the ak-47 with drum and the folder variant.

it should be AKM and not AK-47 they do not make AK-47 anymore

I think for private contracters 100 series Aks would go better or An-94

Don't worry, lots of people have done research on this.

I seriously doubt anyone outside of the Russian armed forces has an An-94, although I imagine a few AL-101s could have slipped into private hands from the few countries that use them. That said, the AK-47 has popped up quite often in the hands of PSCs in Iraq (there's a link around here that someone posted with their personal collection of PSC pics. I would post it, but it's not mine, if I stumble over it later I'll post the thread link here though).

In fact, Arsenal (Whose AR-M1F in 5.56x45 you posted) makes the AR-M1 in 7.62x39... It is an AK47 in every way..

Anyways, while yes stamped AKMs are far more common than the milled AK47, (Production in Russia began in 1959, and presumably continued past '74 for export markets.) we have the AK47 in-game and it is a quality asset. Creating an AKM model will simply be an aesthetic change, as any significant differences would not be representable in game.

Man that AK looks sweet. Adding it would probably win me over for about 4 months

I think also they could add some carbine/krinkov versions of the AK though, like these:

(Yes this is an airsoft gun but it's based off something real obviously)
