Well, this doesnt really suprise me. They don't just take average soldiers into these companies, its the elites: special forces, swat guys you name it. As the article states, these guys had the expertise to do the jobs, so why no include them I say?

If articles such as this are anything to go by, ops like this are conducted by former SF personell (who realized that they're the ones with the know-how and that they'd get paid much more if they went private) while "average" soldiers tend to be relegated to security duties and such.

All of this "allegedly" happened. I mean what do you want to do with it anyways? Model Delta Force and SAD operatives? Sorta not worth the effort, but it would be fun to do if someone would take the time to do it

In slightly related news, Rush Holt (mentioned in the NY times article) is my congressman, and I voted for him. He's an extremely honest and well-meaning politician, which is why you don't often see his face on the news, even though he's been in the house for over a decade. If he's concerned, it's because it's a problem.

However, I don't think we'll be seeing anything like this as part of the PSC faction, there's just no way to make it fit.

Hmm, well I guess that depends on your definition of average soldier and law enforcement agent. Take an look at Xe company's site (its down right now check in a few days or hours) and take a look at the apply as a contractor application. They just have so many "requirments" to meet that it is horribly unlikely that the average Pvt/PFC could make it in. There are literally tens of options where you check off what weapons you have qualified with and when, judging from this alone they wont take in the average guy with M4, or m249 qualifications.

I could be wrong but I'd be really surprised if they took anyone with less than 5 years of experience into their organization, and if your still pvt with m4/m249 after 5 years your doing something wrong!
