Very nice idea Nehil. A game-type i was thinking of would be something like "Team King of the Hill" I've seen a few pictures/videos of Private Contractors going into a protected location and start building Wells & Housing for the local people in Afghanistan & Iraq so what you could try a set up is something like Team King of the Hill where the private contractors need to protect a location for X amount of time. If they fail to hold this place for X amount of time that place will be under Taliban or Insurgent control and now must move to another place and protect it. Something like the Insurgency game mode but Team King of the hill. Just a suggestion.

I actually like that suggestion a lot. I don't know if it would actually work in game, but at the least it's a good suggestion.

I like Nehil's idea. The VIP shouldn't move, just like a cache. The VIP always has an attitude, especially company CEO's and CIA directors , so the job of the contractors is too hold the hard point. Maybe the "VIP" could spawn in a vehicle? as well as a hotel room or compound. Contractors have a spawn point that has a dome of death but no vehicles can get in, their vehicles would be outside that to prevent hiding the VIP. VIP could be on boats in the harbour, sitting at a cafe along the boardwalk, or meeting locals at the mosque.

Just some ideas to keep it moving.

and to kill the VIP? just a couple of bullets, nothing special! Maybe have a special pick up kit, "suicide bomber", looks like civy with some pipe bombs under their jacket!

OH yeah, if the insurgents kill the CIA director they get double the points!

IDK, protect the iraqis doing their elections while suicide bombers try to kill everyone? no...


Try doing creative things or it will just become US army with new gun and chevys.

I think by switching roles the game play should change. Insurgents are used to zerg rushing due to the fact of unlimited tickets for deaths and the fact that they have inferior weapons. (to clarify before people jump all over this, bandages, scopes, medics with guns, and generally better vehicles and equipment.) Now they have limited tickets and have to attack and kill a VIP under contractor protection. New ways of thinking will be required. Feints and misdirection need to be used to pull away the attention of the contractors. Instead of BLUFOR's having to actually drop an incendiary on a cache, an insugent may only have to put a single bullet through a VIP's head. ie: A small group of insurgents start opening up from north of the target while he sits at a street side cafe, this then allows a marksman to pop up from the west with enough time to make his shot. Obviously the VIP will not always be this exposed, just like caches, but think of another possiblity,...drive by's.

A city map with a lot of enterable buildings, close quarters and alleys would really help the insurgents for the elimination of some VIP's.

I think all the insurgents need now is an 80's Mercedes diesel wagon and a donkey cart, with an insurgent hidden under carpets.
