Mmmmm...
this guys are not"insurgents"they are CRIMINAL...CRAP...
they dont deserve to be in a mod like this.....
maybe with the forcename:"farc criminals gang" ingame.

btw:why not a gang/drugdealer/cartel vs dea/or whatever??
it could be a nice idea....

Despite I agree with your point of FARC being nothing more then a bunch of criminals, I have to say that it's a poor arguement.

Don't deserve to be in the mod?

C'mon man.

The FARC can be considered Criminals and terrorists but that doesn't change the fact that they behave and are organized like many insurgent guerrillas. It would be awesome for gameplay in PR as mentioned here and in other FARC proposal topics. It's not as if they deserve or not to be in the mod. It would be fun.
Anyway... It all depends of somebody doing some work into this because so far there has been a lot of suggestion and re-suggestion but nobody really has worked on this. And the main Dev team is just too busy with more important PR stuff so they're not gonna work on this anytime soon (Or ever). If nobody makes models, voices or maps for this faction.... then it doesn't exists.

The idea of a gang/drugdealer/cartel or random criminal organization (And I mean now purely in the sense of crime and not politics) sounds pretty good and a good point to experiment with a form of faction that operates differently from a convential army, an insurgent organization or a terrorist organization.

Smile Re: [Proposal] Colombian FARC Faction and Missions

I agree with you. thinking it better....
for game playing it would be good....(that dont change the fact that they are criminals and crap).i could help with voices....lol.
and i can fight against them ingame.....
(they cause many deads really, but this is a game).

some examples of gangs/factions:

*farc vs colombian army or paramilitars or dea.
*tijuana(mexico)cartel vs mexican forces or dea.
*us gangs vs swat
*brazilian favelas drug dealers vs brazilian police
*somalia lordwars vs muslim front,
it can be named drug wars instead of insurgency or aas.

im going to post this anywhere to see if i can help anytime.....

If you guys make a FARC faction we are interested in using it as a OPFOR faction for one of our future maps.

With kind regards,

Glimmerman

Well according to a few old-time map descriptions along with a few developers input on previous threads there already is a faction like that...

The Militia were gunrunners before the last release... Now if someone is planning to make a faction like the Militia? That sounds beautiful to me. I love the off-hand weird style they can play with. Its worth it in my view.

Well, that's going to be a little unreal don't you think? Depending of the region, PMCs aren't allowed to operate.

As a matter of fact the colombian government does hire PSC's to protect bases and raid occupied villages, and they also bring US soldiers to their bases.

I am 100% sure about it because well I live in Colombia...

To be in peace, a nation must be ready for war, man the guns, draw your swords, stand at the frontline, that is the true meaning of peace.
