Default [Proposal] Private Military Contractors [WIP]

Ok, well, here we go.
I'm pretty sure it's good to have the faction be Blackwater and not just PMCs because Blackwater really is one of a kind (research/development/operations) when you look into different PMC groups.

Either tonight (for me it's 20:30) or tommorrow, I'll begin using the Doomlab tut on how to make a new faction with 3d studio.
I'll probably have a new flag and hud stuff ready soon, but no promises.

WEAPONS
HK416
I'm hoping we can get the 416 from Dutch forces, which is looking pretty cool, obviously we'll give them credit. About mid page, not yet skinned Possibly, somone could offer to skin it for them as part of a deal?
BW-15
BW-15 Webpage
This will be the Marksman weapon. It is a AR-15/AR-10 type weapon produced by Blackwater. The description says individuals that order can modify the weapon as they please, but I think the BW-15 pictured would be great.
Glock
Again, Dutch forces has a really nice Glock (Dutch's Glock), but if Dutch forces don't want to share, there is a pretty good Glock 17 already made and available at FPSBanana - Glock 17

CHARACTERS
BW Character
Clone/Reskin of US light soldier and SF kit add-ons. Max hitpoints: 90.
The final result will have a tan vest, an OD Green Blackhawk! Cap, White T-Shirt and Tan Tactical Pants
This will help to get an idea of what tactical pants look like


BW Pilot
Another Clone/Reskin of US Light Soldier, but with Pilot add-ons. Max Hitpoints: 70.
The final result will have a tan tactical shirt, black tactical pants and a black pilot hemet with lowered visor.


KITS
Selectable kits:

Team Leader (BW character):
M416, Glock, Ammo Bag, White Smoke, Field Dressings

Mobile PSD (BW character):
M416, Glock, Ammo Bag, Shovel

EMT (BW character):
M416, Glock, Medic Bag, Field Dressings

Requestable kits:

Marksman (BW character without cap):
BW-15, Ammo Bag, Shovel

Crewman (BW Character without cap):
Glock, Wrench, White Smoke

Pilot (BW Pilot Character):
Glock, White Smoke

Pilot's Gunner (BW Pilot Character):
M249 SAW

VEHICLES

VIP SUV
Already created by PR devs. The model's a bit on the low quality side since the SUV was created back when PR was still a mini mod, but it could look a lot better with a reskin. Anyone except the Pilot and Pilot Gunner will be able to drive this vehicle.

Grizzly APC, 4x4
Blackwater's very own mine-resistant APC in the 4x4 variant. Only the Crewman will be able to drive this vehicle.

As you can see, it is pretty massive. The interior of it has two seats up front and two benches mounted to the side walls in the rear.

Blackwater Helicopter
I'm not sure what helicopter this is extactly, but it will have a pilot, copilot, gunner right and gunner left positions. Only the pilot will be able to fly, and anyone can ride in the other positions.




Needed Personnel:
Modelers for Vehicles (Possibly for characters, but not likely)
Modeler for BW-15 (more weapon modelers if the Dutch won't share)
Skinners for Vehicles, Weapons and Characters

I can handle most of the txt work for vehicles, weapons, etc.
I think that's all I needed to say. Let me know if I forgot something.

Would be awesome to have an Extraction/Protection gamemode reinserted for Blackwater/MC use.

(Protection could be a better name; allows for, say, instead of extracting a target you could be bringing them to a point instead.)

Could face insurgents on some maps for a bit more equal balance with the gameplay of an extraction mode.

Should give them all facial hair too, lol.


Question: Does Blackwater use explosives? You don't have any in the kit. Not that it's a bad thing, it would be strange to see how they play out vs. insurgents, but just wondering if they would actually use it.

Pr need some operation mission maps blackwater could be the first step for operational map like search and destroy stuff

I would say create your own company, or just name them PMC. Naming them the later will open them up to play in any area. Plus Blackwater is a registered trademark.

Yeah, good point. Almost forgot about it being trademark.

Give them some kind of offshoot name, like something out of a metal gear solid storyline.


In conventional AAS they probably would be a little strange to see, probably be best of in special gamemodes like Extraction and etc.

Ok. So, the faction will just be called PMC and I'll slightly modify Blackwater's new symbol (they recently revamped, new symbol, etc.) for use with flags.
And I was thinking Extraction and AAS. Extraction would obviously be the hallmark gametype for PMC, but AAS could work to show PMC's defensive role. For example, there could be an urban map with a PMC uncap way in back where vehicles would spawn. Then, there would be buildings of some sort that PMC would have control of in the beginning. Also, the insurgents would have an uncap with spawn groups, one foward and one at the vehicle spawn. The building that PMC started out with would be extremely important and if the building was lost PMC could loose like 75% of their beginning tickets. Basically, it's AAS turned into Defend the CP.
And to Rezza, sorry but no. What you described is definately Special Ops territory and probably the direct opposite of what Blackwater actually does.
I'm not sure about giving them facial hair, the BW guys are mostly ex-SF (it's a requirement when wanting to be a Mobile PSD), but I rarely see BW personnel with large amounts of facial hair. Most of them are clean shaven.
I am 90% sure that Blackwater does not use explosives while overseas because they don't have permission (just like no silencers).


Finally, don't bring politics to this thread please, if you read the original thread, I started off by saying that I wanted to do this for realism's sake. I am fond of PMCs, but that's not the point. Politics ruin fun in life so don't bring them here. Thank you.
