I use:

cpu: Intel dual core E8400 @3.6Ghz
gfx: Nvidia GTX 260
ram: 4GB
sc: x-fi extreme music

With high setting and high frame rates.

Regrading price.. well you need to look this up yourself.. and see what you can get a comparative PC for.

I think the recommended should be around the system you should aim at for a decent experience. My computer ran the demo with decent framerates and high settings, the parts now would cost around £500 altogether (excluding screen) but I think you could get a computer which ran it well for about £400-£450

my specs:
q9400
gtx260
4gb ram

Bump!

Hi, I am very much in the same boat as you.

I have seen that PR is coming to ARMA2 and I want a piece of the action, My theory is that ARMA2 is more demanding that BF2 so if I get system that can run ARMA2 on max settings that should see me frew a few more years. (My current system is 7 years old and on its last legs)

My problem lies with me being out of the pc gaming loop for so long I have no Idear about components anymore... When I re-built my last system graphics cards where AGPx8 not PCI-E and CPU's had single cores..

This is a good budget for me if it could be done for this price I would be very happy. But would be willing to spend more to make the system more time proof.

Just one more question (cheers for still reading )

Are graphics cards still conected to monitors with the standard plug or have they moved up to HDMI?

Thanks for any help!
