Default Cheap, yet Nice Headset

So about four months ago, I purchased a supposed "gaming" headset that was actually worth 31 USD off of Ebay for 9 bucks on an auction. It worked perfectly for about a week.... then it broke. One side of the headset did not work, and the mic was not functioning. So I decided to get rid of it (after many attempts to fix it). I am now on a tight budget. I only want to spend $15 or under on a headset that'll last at least a year or two... One that has decent sound and a good mic. I never EVER play PR without mic.

Thanks for your input!

Can't find a headset for under $15, but for gods sake avoid the Creative Fatal1ty headsets, I don't know why people recommend them, they are dreadfully bad.

I never said they don't last, just the quality of the sound is absolutely appalling.

Put it next to a decent pair of cans for the same price (Or less) and you'll see why they are dreadful.

Mine was reaching a year and a half and still worked rather fine. The sounds was just fine for gaming, I never used it for multimedia though. Well, doesn't work anymore, I just tripped over the damn wire again (I swear it's designed to get under your feet at any and every possible circumstance) and this time it broke into 5 million pieces. Time to look for a new one too

For $40-50, I would suggest the Logitech G330. My friend got one and he loves it. Really nice sound, excellent mic quality, really comfortable around the head design. Plus! You can use either 3.5mm mic and headphone jacks or a USB converter thinga-ma-bob(excuse my redneck-ness). It's quite a bit off of $15 but it's worth it.

Pissed about BF3 not having mod tools, also?
