The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

because as part of the story for one of the maps for IDF its a reserve unit doing the fighting?

OI! We can relive the Vietnam days and have a reason to play as OpFor now. I just can't stop thing about the Colt Commando and the D-Boys in Black Hawk down.

Artillery, combat engineers (not 100% sure) and armor dudes are issued short M16A1's, not only reservists.
Anti Air dudes sometimes get the loooooong m16. |
