This mixed with there being multiple textures we are talking about here, since you have the maps on the table are part of the tent textures, the big map board has its own texture and then the bowman laptop has its own texture as well.
I get a 1024x1024 DXT5 w/ mipmaps being 1.3MB, and I dont see why you need seperate textures for each thing because you should be able to use the dirt and crack layers to give the map a folded-paper look, and strategic polygon placing and UV mapping to ensure you only need a single image to change per-map. When compressed, it comes out to 616k, meaning only 15MB for 25 maps.

I dont see a problem with having several maps of the same area in the CP, in fact I would kind of expect it. Especially if one is pinned to a big board, and another is on a folded sheet of paper.

Some thing else I have just realised is that the maps WILL need to be changed some time. We have both kashan and barra, I really dont think you can use the same map for both a desert in the mid east and an island in the pacific.

XKCD forums, in the middle of a perfectly sane conversation:
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
Best post ever made!

EG: PPSh is made of win and quite possibly stamped sheet metal

The M577 is being phased out by the Dutch.

@ Devs, does this mean the USMC will get their ugly VBF2 model replaced with the one made for the CF? (Since you mentioned the only difference was the interior)

And will Desert coloured Strykers be standard from now on? (Green for woodland, desert for...desert :P)

I gotcha. I know there would be a whole coding rework, a new Vehicle Weapon probably being made so he can hold the map, a new weapon, PCO Movement, and I bet you could name more.

Great work guys.
