We used to wear Desert camo made only and during the first Gulf War and the 90's. But it costs too much money so they stopped produce it!

This is what we are using in Astan:

It looks pretty well blend in with the Afghan environment...

What we are using in Ivory Coast (Operation Licorne) and in other African countries:

And this is a snow camouflage use in Astan:

We don't have enough money, so the soldiers buy their own equipments, mostly to the US troops. Indeed, you can see on many pictures here, French soldiers wearing US gears, backpacks and pouches...

It's not a private snow camo. It's the official french snow camo amde by Arktis. Used in cold response 2009 or Astan.

At least, we finally choose it ! Thanks for the info.

We should have used new French camo since 2007... (with the Felin Famas eventualy). With this new uniform and camo we should have been at same level than the US and other OTAN soldiers!

But I think we can wait a long time before seeing it within our army!

If we are looking at the first pix of the new Famas and FELIN system, we were using English camouflage!!! That's really strange!!!

These camo are used only by Giat (Nexter) for test. Not by the french army.
