No. The EpiPen wouldn't be used period. I hate to disagree with you, I know it sounds like a good idea. However, the EpiPen is used for allergic reactions. Unless the soldier got stung by a bee or ate peanuts and can't breath, I wouldn't even consider the Epipen. Bandages, Roller Gause and treatment for shock and immediate heli-evac would be the order of business. Or in the PR world..Compressions/Breaths, Defib, Medbag.

Yes, but there's already been a ton of work invested in that EpiPen animation and model, and throwing it away would be foolish for the DEVs, so I tried to justify its use in my suggestion.
Anyway, I like where this whole thing is going - making the Medic's job more complicated, and forcing the medic to only revive soldiers when the area is somewhat safe. There's nothing I hate more than seeing an enemy medic revive his squad leader while under fire, heal him in a few seconds, and run away with his squad. |

I know, I'd hate to see it too. However, there is no feasible excuse to use it in a battlefield unless the person is having an allergic reaction. Maybe they can rename it to something else, like morphine. I do hope they research it throughly.

guys just to be clear EpiPen is the injector all right any thing could be in it i found the the French use them in there first aid its better the carrying needles around. i could be wrong so don't chew me out about. and im sure the devs did research on it and wouldn't put in in there if it wasn't reality

Let's let the DEVs, among whom someone knows the answers, sort out the details of the Medic class. I've already given a dime where everyone else has given two cents...
There's nothing negative about the Medic video I can think of, not even the 'controversial' autoinjector. DEVs, thank you for sending us another video that doesn't feature Rick Astley! |

I'd like to explain also, that I am a soon-to-be EMT (Test is next thursday, w00t!) and volunteer firefighter. I've run my share of CPR calls and EMT calls period. So don't discount my word when I'm explaining the stuff about the EpiPen auto-injector. I'd just hate to have the immerison of the game ruined by such a simple change. =|

I don't think we need to over complicate the medic any more.... Adding extra steps to an already difficult process will make being a medic more of a hassle than challenge. I mean, this new procedure is already going to be tough to pull off in a firefight.
