From what I have read, Afghanistan (at least in the South) is almost covered in grape and pomegranate orchards, which provide great cover to dismounted infantry. Adapting something like this in the map could make for some interesting gameplay dynamics, like planting IEDs and hiding in a nearby grape vineyard...

question. what happened to the rough hills that you could climb all the way around on, not these flat hills that you have reverted to just like to know tis all.

There not as flat as you think, but they did HAVE to be smoothed out a bit for the BF2 engine to work right (issues with terrain LOD's and close to right angles, i.e. floating players). I kept the roughness while fixing the BF2 engine issues.

The insurgents will still have may hiding places.
