I wouldn't post it here if it wasn't going into PR...

You win the ignorance award of the day. Congratulations.

Great job on the knife, Rhino.

Do you, by chance, know if the discussed-but-not-currently-implemented bayonet function would have to be a separate weapon, or a separate fire on the standard weapon slot?

if it was done it would have to be a separate weapon, much like the GL on grenadier kits.

if you would be able to fire bullets from the bayonet fixed version I dunno if thats possible with also a stab function, but if it was possible you wouldn't be able to use your sights I can tell you that much

There culd be a close and long range variant, one with bayonet/fire-from-hip and one with scope/un-scoped firing!!!

XKCD forums, in the middle of a perfectly sane conversation:
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
Best post ever made!

I would assume the stabbing with the bayonet fixed would require animators, something the PR team is needing. But if you can do it, DO IT .

To end the argument between Expendable Grunt and Rico11b, you are basically both right. The "Blood Groove" on early swords was not meant to let blood out but lessen the weight of the sword without compromising strength. This feature has become vestigial on many common knives.
When a knife is stabbed into a person the wound created can interfere with the weapons removal. It can get stuck in bone for example. But the human body is not a vacuum there is not an immense suction effect that has to be compensated for. If the human body was a vacuum, the immense pressure differential would cause us to implode. When stabbed your organs for the most part will not cave in on each other unless a significant wound has been made in the abdominal wall. And then they will all fall out.
However with the blood and skin there could be small amount of suction. This is often fixed by how, at least in the US, we are taught to use our bayonets. You turn the blade once inserted to develop the wound causing more damage and opening enough skin to negate any suction effect.
And yes, I have been and done that, got the T-shirt too. I serve as a medical technician, I've pulled shrapnel out of people, there isn't a massive suction effect.

You know what... I'm gonna just go ahead and agree with everything you said. Well most everything anyway Lol.

And let me say this... I can't believe, I allowed myself to get "sucked" into a crappy (not to mention disgusting) topic like this one. Arguing over worthless crap like this, is kinda like running in the Special Olympics. Even if I win I am still retarded. No offense intended.

This is what should be expected from a "real" M-16, when fired by an "expert" shooter! This applies to "expert" only. However, someone that can only qualify basic "marksman" by hitting 23 out of 40 targets will NOT shoot this well! Period!!!
