Please place any feedback or installation issues in this thread. Any suggestions for future maps may also be made here.

Edit: To clear out any doubts : This is event is only to be hosted by the servers which have been named by the DEVs as this is still in a testing phase. Other server admins are to wait for the go ahead that the final product is active.
Sorry for any confusion that might have arisen.

1 BUG spotted and a possible typo :P still havent verified your story.

Typo is Illage in Steel Thunder. And the bug happened in Steel Thunder as well. We was Chinese, got pushed back to our uncap main base flag. Than captured construction back. When we opened our maps, we could see all the spawn points. Even the US ones. DynamikNL spawnd on it as well so they even worked!

Later on, the Americans had it and we didnt. Heres a screenshot I took to prove it!

Getting a lot of sound bugs - because view distances are so short on most of the maps I'd imagine.

Maps/Minimap quality are no-where up to current PR levels - Steel Thunder above being a brilliant example.

View distances = need to be upped, where possible.

Flag cap radii need bringing into line with current PR gameplay - You literally have to be sat right on top of many of them. AASv3 or 4 should be implemented too.

just to clarify, the Village bug on Steel Thunder is from what i can see vbf2 bug.

It is coded in as "Village", and I check it triplicate, yet it misses out the V

AASv4? Also, its a retro map pack so the maps are in essence pre dating many of the changes you are talking about and would also of changed the dynamic of them too much, this is a fun map pack, not upto current standards of PR, as they have been removed from the game for a reason.

How about some good points.

Mao, yes please, so glad to be able to play that again, and it shows how the dynamic of the game hasn't changes too much, still getting slapped by an unseen MG

Great work lads, some old favourites there, and hope to see more of the same soon.

it's good to have some fun, community ran nights.

Yes. AASv4. You don't know everything, Robbi

And yes it's a map pack - but that doesn't mean that gameplay changes couldn't be made to them to bring them closer in line with current PR gameplay - larger cap radii being one of them, which would be a very simple fix and improve gameplay - particularly on Mastuur, for example - greatly.

They may have been removed for a reason but presumeably they're being reintroduced in a map pack for a reason too and that reason is to have fun with them, no? If they were removed for being not as much fun in their old gameplay style as they used to be, then bringing them into line a little with new changes might go some way to remedying that.

Finally the sound bugs are irritating and confusing and raising the view distance is the best way of resolving that issue on these mappack maps with old VDs.

They may not be points you agree with, but they're still good points Robbi. Yes, the R-COM team have done a good job getting this lot out but they can still be improved - and that's why Matrox has asked for feedback - not so the Events team can just be patted on the back and told how well they're doing.

Yes Masaq, but AAS v4 is not released yet

and they are good points in your eyes, but that does not make them as 100% valid

We all have our own views on the matter, that is the whole point of this, Feedback, as a pose to argument, so take it as that instead of taking it to heart

the RCOMs have a done a very good job at getting this out, considering they are not DEVs etc...

More than ever true.

All in all I think the map pack is a nice addition. I didn't think on changing viewdistances in the audits I did. Especially Mashtuur City.

Wish there were more people on Zatar.
