It looks like the zombie thing was alot of fun, and seems to be pretty popular. Wouldn't it be quite easy to make a very small "mini-mod" for some special zombie evenings? You could just edit some of the faction skins to look like zombies, and then give them very high health?
Imo it would be a nice "break" from usual PR, and I suspect it would be very popular |

laubox, 99% of the players thought it was more fun than sliced bread. If you want your ub3r-realism, then go enlist, or don't participate in the zombie fights!!

laubox, no-one is saying that production of PR will stop and it will turn into a zombie mod. However, the zombie mod can offer a fun alternative to players who don't have time or just want to kill zombies, as for some people that is a very good fun way to spend 1/2 an hour or so. I can guarantee you that the zombie mod is an option. You will not be forced to play it ever. Chris, you should know better than to tell someone to enlist if they want 'uber realism'. How do you know he has not spent time in active military service? What I feel is he has simply misunderstood what has happened. As said previously, PR will be staying, not going anywhere, let alone transforming into a zombie mod! So please, both of you, lets just drop this, it seems to be a misunderstanding and an overreaction anyway so continue with feedback of the night, mkay? | |

It was a great event and i want to thank everyone involved.
Archer.. Taliban set up a nice ambush in a narrow mountainpass. Old cars were used as roadblocks. Fighters took position with AT and RPK on one side of the pass and a technical on the otherside (me). As the US approach, we open up on them with the RPG and RPK. When US starts to return fire, we pull up with the 50cal from the otherside and rain down hell on them. We take control of the truck. Rest of the round is spent fighting off US attemts to retake the captured supplytruck but we manage to bring it home in one piece Ramiel.. Three US pilots are held hostages in the yard with big watertower in it. We (US) move in to the city from east. We meet no resistans until were at the walls surrounding the yard. One squad is going to go over the north wall while my squad go in from south through the maingate. Things don´t go as planned as the yard is heavily defended. We are met with walls of moltovs and 50cal fire. We loose a lot of men... But we keep coming. After a few almost succesfull attempts, the insurgents get desperate and move the hostages further west, to an abandon house with a small yard. We can still see the pilots on our GPS monitors. My squad takes position on the roofs around the yard while the other squad moves in and frees the hostages. The pilots are in bad shape and in need of medevac. With no transport inside the city, we have to make our way out on foot. We run south, duckin and dodgin bullets as angry insurgents give chase. But time is not on our side.. The pilots perish 50m from the waiting transport (30min timelimit) and we loose the round. Kashan..meh not much to write about. Zombienight...Asad Kahl, Muttrah City and Sunset City were all hilarious and epic lulz. Many players went deep into their characters both as zombies and survivors. Unfortunately, my wife heard me and was like..what the hell is wrong with you? So i had to turn it down a bit. Here is some screenies.. Mongol and crew doing some prefight warmup. http://i725.photobucket.com/albums/w...g?t=1246753940 And a quick prayer.. http://i725.photobucket.com/albums/w...g?t=1246754057 Tartantyco laying down the law.. http://i725.photobucket.com/albums/w...g?t=1246754121 They are coming.. http://i725.photobucket.com/albums/w...g?t=1246754213 My nice squadleader offer to put a bullet in my head so i wouldn´t have to go through the pain of being eaten alive http://i725.photobucket.com/albums/w...g?t=1246754281 |

For reference, Ramiel was AWESOME!
I was on the insurgent side. It took forever to set up, and we booby-trapped the compound with the water tower. Of course, someone set off a grenade trap, which resulted in pilot ownage and an orgy of field dressings. When the Americans came, all crap broke loose. Insurgents were going down left and right, and the battle raged for a tense 10 minutes. Eventually, the Americans were in the compound, and the insurgents were on the outside. The pilots were re-captured, and the future looked bleak. In a last minute act of desperation, I spawned at main, taking a technical with a squad member. We drove right past the entrance of the compound, through a hail of gunfire, (OK, maybe not THAT epic) and right around to the back of the two story building... where we found ALL THREE PILOTS. What ensued was chaos. I hit the gas and ran over an enemy, whistle the guy on the 50 was popping away at anyone he could get. I backed up, and pwned another enemy just as the 50 blasted another off his feet. In all this chaos the pilots were relatively unharmed, even as hostiles fell around them. In all, 4-5 hostiles were killed. The pilots were wounded, so we healed them and someone randomly decided to move out. I hopped in the technical again, and searched for the escort party. As soon as I saw the pilots, all crap broke loose. An enemy squad came up the alley, and another over the roofs (Yes, we did see you). We were massacred were we stood. The final minutes of the battle was a frantic search for the pilots, resulting in multiple hostiles killed and a very tense last minute. All in all, it was a great match. |
