Hi there people.

Many of you guys did noticed our server running since PR v0.75
We would like to know your feelings about our server. We aim to improve people gaming experience on our server, so please, feel free to tell everything which might help us out.

Server's specs:
- IntelCore 2 Duo T7200 (cpu cache 4Mo L2)
- 3 Gigs of RAM
- running on SATA2 a 7200rpm harddrive (16mo cache)
- Bandwidth 100Mb/s
- Hosted on a Ubuntu in Paris - France
- Our server is a dedicated one, and is only used to run one instance of PR for best performances.
- Server is rebooted everyday between 4:00pm and 5:00pm (GMT+1)

• Ban list: Yes
• VOIP: Yes
• Battlerecorder: No
• GameMode: ALL
• Maps: ALL (running only v.08 new maps for 2 weeks, then will run mixed maps)

#Eagle's server is controled by BF2cc with automatic kick for idlers (5mins) , teamkillers (TKx4), High ping (230), and bad language speakers.

Stopped in today myself, but unfortunately it was right as a squad bug occurred About half the players were crying for a map change but half just wouldnt vote for a map change, instead opting to whine about the gameplay [even though it was the squad bug prohibiting any decent gameplay]

Wished there was an admin on to simply change the map, BUT Im not docking you for that as I completely understand. Crap happens and it was the players fault for not voting for a map change to fix the squad bug. There are plenty of times the MODs on the forum are all on the "off shift" :P

That being said, I had a great ping, no lag, and I'm sure Ill be back to get my fix on the newest maps before they mix in with the old maps

Good server, played there yesterday. Had nice ping (40-60) and no lag spikes. Keep it up!

It's a good server.

I'd just suggest to alter the rotation a bit. Throw in some older maps as well.


For example I'd love to play Jabal

played there today and was banned for tking for some reason. The squad bug occured so we voted a new map and the squad bug happened. Everyone started tking everybody so i started tking just to stay alive. Not an Admin in site so ill give it a C

Played it for 1st time today, and was surprised at the level of teamwork on an unknown server!
Bad points were the lack of admin tho, round one we had USMC spawn-/baseraping the PLA Missile Silo on Barracuda, and next round there was squadbug and no-one to fix so i left.
Also, my HUD was constantly spammed by votes for mapchanges and playerkicks, so i had to turn it off.

Other than that..: promising, and excellent ping.

PS. On a personal note i think 5min idleing is strict. But that's me.

Thank you for your feedback. Remember that we cannot be always connected to our server though. We do have a job you know ? Take in consideration that server is hosted in France, and do not have the same "playing time" you do have.

TKing is not the way to go (even for selfdefense response, bf2cc daemon will do its job in due time), and people beeing kicked before you should have aware you of an automatic sanction.

hx.bjoffe > Yeah, when you got #Eagle members playing, you should expect some good teamwork, one of our motto is "Teamwork is the KEY", and we do expect players to keep it up this way. Some players are a bit lost sometime, and all you have to do is to show them what is the real meaning of "teamplay".

Map rotation is planned, and we believe launch some good ol' maps really soon.

BUGSQUAD : Server message is quiet clear : Await at least 30secs to avoid bugsquad. This message is also displayed as an announce every 100secs on our server. You do have a bugsquad ? Remind people this point ! Or tell them to go back to school learning to read.

I'm in the same boat. Got banned for the same reason during the frenzy. Was my own fault, got a bit too much into the frenzy

Any chance of an unbann for us two? Apart from the extremely annoying squadbug, I had some great fun on the server today.
