Thumbs up [T&T] Tactics & Teamwork (UK)

Hi

Our server is up and running at: 85.236.103.12:16567
Name: Tactics & Teamwork | PR 0.756
Location: UK
Maps: Most 0.75 maps

Other details:
Punkbuster: Of course
Ban list: Yes - Punksbusted
Log streaming - Yes, to Punksbusted
VOIP: Yes
Battlerecorder: Yes - downloads from our website
Teamspeak: Yes - details on our website
Website: Tactics & Teamwork :: "Like Minded Gaming"

Pings from rest of Europe and East Coast US seem fine.

Teamplay is paramount.

We do try to encourage players to think about their team's goals and requirements, and to choose their kits accordingly. A team full of pilots, armed with a pistol and some pretty red smoke is no use to anyone but the enemy, so expect to be asked to use some common sense!

All players must join a squad (or be auto-kicked), use VOIP, and follow orders from Squad Leaders and Commanders.

Main requirement - have FUN!

We're happy to help new players get acquainted with the game, so if you're new to PR please say so when you join. The admins don't bite, and the server regulars are friendly and helpful. Server admins wear [T&T] tags.

Welcome in advance to any visitors. We look forward to seeing you.

Went on there and played for hours, it was so fun and enjoyable
Epoch is an excellent SL, too

Only thing, I dislike, is squads using VoIP, which is good, while the commander can be a lone wolf spamming assets and not communicating/commanding in any way

Think, you should check those buggers from time to time, sometimes it would be really nice, if a commander commmanded instead of driving around spamming firebases, bunkers and sandbags, no one will build

[R-DEV]Gaz: Shout "WE R L33TZ" at the MD, sucker punch him, then teabag him while shouting "WHO OWNS YA? WHO OWNS YA? SAY OUR NAME! IGI! IGI! IGI! OFP2 Beta plz?"

Thanks for the feedback Outlawz. We did have a non-communicative commander on the other day. He persisted in ignoring requests and not talking to SLs on VOIP. So he was ... cough .... deposed. Seems that commanders prefer driving their BIG SLOW MOVING JUICY TARGET into enemy fire instead. Ideally with a bunch of groupies sitting in the back.

I'll amend the server rules regarding commanders, and VOIP, and will ask the admins monitor the situation.

Thanks again, and glad you had fun.

Great server. The insurgency mode is the jem of .6 . I am actually shocked the server is not full on the bloody time.

Egg and the team nailed their mission object.

The entire startegy for success is so differnt from AAS. I think players are turned off by it. It is unconventional.

IMO, teamwork is needed more than in AAS, again, more work to be done by the average warrior, turned away by frustration, and "not getting it".

As a Brit, I believe the unit should move in Platoon sized (2 or more full squads) while patroling. They should be supported by Air transports and APCs.
two man Recon ( fast twitch skillz) teams should recon on the ground, AND ONLY provide intel to the CO, and not engage, i repeat, not engage. From here the Raid Platoon moves to the location and over powers with SUPERIOR FIRE POWER British SAS style.

Sadly, currenlty players are making like lone wolfes and waisting tickets like no other.

I recommend all Brit COs to get the following:

1. Raid Platoon
2. two or three Recon Ground teams. 2 warriros per team.
3. APC support.
4. Air support for fast movment to locations.
5. Bad ass SL who can get the job done and defend Vehicle check point while only consuming on 6 players from your 32 player roster.

The server is 40 slot, so that's a 20 player roster per team (I'd increase the slots if I had the £'s! Donations welcome!).

As UK, I fervently believe one squad should defend the Checkpoint at all times. I almost always do that (as squad leader) and if I can get squad members who obey orders then it's perfect. Every time I've dedicated my squad to checkpoint defence we've NEVER lost the flag. That's important.

Most players would think of checkpoint defence as boring. You don't move very far, and you normally don't get to play in vehicles. But - it's not boring. You're always being attacked from all angles, by snipers, molotovs, and vehicles. It's not easy - so hats (or helmets!) off to those players who are willing to stick with it and keep the flag.

I love insurgency mode, and am happy to provide a 24/7 server to the community.
