Golden Squad 15/16 August First Round Fixture List

The Community Events Team are pleased to announce the fixture list for the first round of the golden squad tournament.

Squad Leaders will be Pm'd shortly to encourage them to read this thread. Server info and password will be P'Md to you either the day before or on the day of the event.

The format for the events are:

If you see the server your match is on playing muttrah city, you may jump on. (Muttrah City Skirmish is the pre-match map)

Once all the players are on, the match will start with the server changing to Jabal Skirmish. This is the match map, and when it begins the match is considered "live". The first round will last for 20 mins, and then will end. It is important that at this point you get a screen shot of the final scoreboard, as this will be used to calculate scores. All squads will have to have an image of the scoreboard, failing to do so will likely end up with your match ending with you being declared the loser.

The next round will start, which will also last for 20 minutes, however, the teams will have swapped. the match plays for 20 mins. and then at the end of the round you must collect another screen shot.

The Squad Leader, or a representative for the SL must place the two screenshots from his teams final scoreboard into the match results thread (link coming soon) within 3 hours, else the score becomes void.

Score will be calculated by a cumulative points score from both matches. Whoever has the most tickets is decided the winner of the match. The next round of fixtures will be then later announced.

If, for whatever reason you have a grievance against the opposing team you have 3 hours in which to PM [R-Com]Robbi187 [R-Com]MrSh@vid or myself with details, including screenshots and evidence please. We will look into it and then respond with what action has been taken.

Mumble channels and TS channels will be provided for your use. If at any stage you need to get hold of an admin we shall be in both mumble and TS.

If you cannot field over 3 players for your team after 10 mins of waiting past your set game time, you will be automatically disqualified and your opponent declared the winner.

Match rules are simple:

No Teamkilling
No hacking, cheating, grieving, or glitching whatsoever
Any kits may be used
Any racial or rude language on the server, or excessive patriotism, including heckling of other teams will be cause for your team forfeiting the match.
No suicide tactics

Yea good luck

You guys prepare this event/tournament for months but you announce date for battle 4 days before? Sorry but i don't think it will work out especially because it is summer time and people have others plans for weekends!
I took a part in many events so far but never with such a short announce and i'm honestly disappointed

No teamkilling? I'm not sure accidental teamkilling deserves a forfeit, and the captain has a responsibility to pick people who won't go spraying their own team. If it comes to that they won't win anyway.

And what counts as suicide tactics? If someone wants to lose a ticket for there team I say let them, it's gonna be pretty hard to be a judge of what's just suicide and what counts as a "tactic".

And will there be admins on the servers? If not there's no reason to have everyone packing onto those for such short matches when they could play on their own, which really they could do anyway.

I can see a lot of forfeits and disputes coming in if something goes wrong at any stage on that Saturday.

@Masterbake: i think sui. Tactis are things like C4'ing your own car and using it as a bomb, ramming, that sort of stuff.

That's what I mean, I'm not sure if it's just that kind of thing, or suiciding to get closer to a rally or what.

Completely agree with the sentiments above, really disappointed that the squad I originally signed up can't participate.
