Default LAN server

hello, i'd like to make a small (max. 10 players) LAN party with my friends. does it work to make a pr LAN game over the bf2 menu (multiplayer -> create LAN game or sth. like that)? because i read in the forums that i need a licence to get server files.

i hope somebody has some experience in that

No I don't think you need to do anything but create local server on your LAN and let others join you.
You only need a license to get server files if you want to host a pr public server on the internet.

some days ago, i tried it with my friend. i created a LAN server, but he wasnt able to join. but doesnt matter, because we played another game at the lan party and i think 8 players would have been too less players even for a skirmish battle.

If you want, you should try using Hamachi, as that helps others connect. It basically just makes a virtual Private Network.
