PR 0.8 turns off audio

After installing PR 0.8 I faced a really weird problem:

When starting the game, all audio except effects were turned off - no music and, more important, no voip-signal. for some strange reasons other players in my squad could hear me, but I couldn´t hear them.

After returning to desktop there was still no audio signal available - no mp3, no youtube-video, etc... The system settings were not changed, everything looked like always, but didn´t sound like.

After rebooting the system everything was fine until startin PR 0.8 again...

Any ideas anyone?

System: WinXP SP2, Creative SB Audigy

Someone posted a fix not to long ago to fix Creative Audigy card problems. Sorry I can't remember what it was other than a Audigy card setting could fix it. Search for Audigy card.
I not gonna tell you to update your drivers cause that's the first thing you did right?

Indeed. I updated the new drivers a couple of weeks ago.

But I "solved" the problem the usual way: in the meantime I completely reinstalled bf2 + pr and now it is working fine - windows wonderland...
