Turning Fps Drop

I recently downloaded this mod and whenever i turn the mouse it gets very choppy like my fps dropped drastically. Also sometimes when i hit esc it crashes to desktop and shows a BF2 memory allocation error.

Q9450
4gb ram
8800gt sli
vista 32bit

I don't know why it is doing this but it makes the game unplayable.

I've got the same issues, strangely enough it only happens on Insurgency maps for me. I thought it mightve been HDD-lag, but my loadgraphs doesnt show more than 10% when it peaks. I tried lowering my graphics but it still didn't solve it. (deleted cache & shaders every time I changed it).

0% fragmentation on all drives & I've cleared all the processes down to 26 running. Increased my Pagefile to 6000MB and chucked it in on another drive other than the drive wich holds my systemfiles and games. So far I've only seen a great improvement in performance, but the stuttering is still there.

Specs:

AMD X2 4800+
4gb RAM
8800GTS in SLI-mode
XP 32bit

You have 2 CPUs
So put 'AFFINITY 2' in your desktop shortcut's target string
to set the game to use only one cpu.
Here's what mine looks like:

"E:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" start /AFFINITY 2 +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

4 gigs of ram you don't need a page file.
Use a fast USB2 flash drive for Vista's 'ready boost'
if you feel you must,
but I don't think you'll need it.
Setting AFFINITY 2 should fix your lag.

plus set sound to med. hardware.
drop a few video settings to med.
Trust me you won't notice
effects=med
lighting=med
dynamic shadows=med
dynamic light=low
anti aliasing=off

works good for me
AMD 2.4 x2
2 gigs ram
3 gig page file on separate dedicated 6 gig hard drive
ATI 1950 tx 512 ram

Vista 64 prem

Hope it helps

@pale: there is a difference between 2 cores and 2 cpus (not for him though )

with 4 gb of ram i could easily turn off page file, but i got xp64

check your permance settings in nvidia controll - you might have to switch to "performance" also i read something about turning down "max. pre rendered frames", but not sure if that really helps

Got a PROBLEM? Check this: Project Reality Detailed Installation Guide
