Solution to people saying pr isn't working and crashes to desktop

I have recently had this problem and have found a solution. Some files still exist inside a hidden folder in your user space. FIX:

1. Go to c://users/(username)/appdata (this is the hidden folder that will not show up if you do not have hidden folders shown-to show the hidden folder go to organise and folder and search options then click show hidden folders and apply)

2. Then go into appdata/local/virtualstore/Program files/EA GAMES/battlefield 2/ mods/

Here you should find more pr files that have not been deleted. Delete the pr files then re-install the core and levels. When you go into battlefield 2 and community, the project reality should be at 0.8. Run pr and should run as normal but make sure you have a resolution over 800x600 or you will not be able to play!!

If this doesn't work, un-install and re-install then use the above to check your files

Hopes this sorts out your problems as it did mine. Let me know how this goes.

Oh, by the way, this may clear a problem I had with Call of Duty! (It crashed on load after a couple of months) but if this does what i think it does, my problem may be sorted. Thanks a bunch!
