pr.exe warning... But I AM using the shortcut...

Hey!

I just installed pr I hadn't played since like .5 and I wanted to try .8

WELL.. I am using the shortcut that was put on my desktop by the installer (which is pointing to the pr.exe) and I am given the warning that I should alt-f4 and update my shortcut.

I am puzzled by this as I haven't found anyone else with this issue.

If I rename the movies/warning.bik I get into the main menu fine, I haven't tried to play like this yet.

If anyone can advise me on this that would be fantabulous.

Shortcut command line
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

'Start in' folder:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2"

That or the above posted. But those are there if you need something to copy and paste. Make sure the "start in" links to the bf2 folder. Right click the shortcut, go to properties.

Have the exact same problem. I have reinstalled, patched and installed the core and map parts fresh. Restarted my computer several times and I've read the installation guides and these guides you've posted. Nothing has helped. If I rename the warning.bik file, I can get into the game, but I get kicked by PB after a few minutes on servers because my shader-files doesn't match.

Please help.

Please post every thing found when you right click your shortcut and click properties.

I was able to play though after renaming the warning.bik... so who knows what's up...

Start in: "D:\Games\Battlefield 2"

I can confirm that this is where I have installed BF2 on my computer.

If it matters, I have the downloaded version of BF2 (with all three exp. packs) from the EA Store.

that's the only thing i can think of too...

i couldn't find my disk so i re bought it today, the downloadable version from the EA store...

and yes I am an administrator
