Problem Installing PR0.8
I currently have
2.0 X2 Dual Core 3 Gigs PC-3200 8800gt VISTA 32.Bit For some reason when i click on the Core Setup it doesnt show up right away and it's taking a long fricken time it's pissing me off when will it show up? is there anyone else having this problem seems like a installation lag.? |

It's takes a long tine to unpack the files(it's over gig after all) Go grab a cold one outta the fridge, it may take 5 to 8 minutes to unpack before you see the installer, that is normal, just don't click on the installer again. YOU WILL START ANOTHER INSTALLER UNPACKING AND IF YOU THOUGHT IT WAS SLOW BEFORE......
installing IT'S THIRSTY WORK! REMEMBER TO DRINK SLOWLY. professionals WILL HAVE A FEW SPARES close to the work area In case of EMERGENCY. |

I repeat i have 2 more friends that have the same problems the setup doesnt open over 30 minutes and it slows down the pc

possibly a UAC problem - i suggest disabling uac for the time of the installation
or execute the installer as admin right away alt tab though the open programs to see if a confirmation window is hiding somewhere |

If you have a lot of windows open you might miss the 'UAC'cue when the installer gets ready to display. Check the system tray or keep the desktop clear of open windows while your waiting.
corrupted download? Check the download size. Mine is: core = 1,532,008 KB levels = 1,224,071 KB Yea 30 minutes is not normal. Oh make sure you defrag your hard drive and consolidate free space if you can (3rd party app). You DO have plenty of free space right? (3- 5 gigs?) Them try installing it again. If you don't see the installer after 10 minutes then I hate to say it but you might have a corrupted download and need to re-download. Good luck PS I got a bad download with v5 I think and it hanged the installer like what your describing. New download did the trick. |
