VOIP issues

I'm having some trouble with the V.8 mod on my Vista 64 bit system. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have read through the stickies about Vista already but I'm still having trouble.

First here are my hardware and software specs in case that makes a difference on how someone would answer my post.

Hardware:
XFX 780i SLI mobo
Dual 8800GT graphics cards in SLI mode
4Gs of DDR2 800 Memory

Software:
Windows Vista Ultimate 64
Teamspeak2

My issue is 2 fold;
1) When I'm loaded into PR I can't use Teamspeak. It doesn't register my push to talk key which is bound to the left ALT key on the keyboard.

2) I can't adjust any of the VOIP settings in the menu under audio options. It is already enable by default but won't let me disable it or mess with mic boost or settings........ in addition I am unable to do the mic test.

NOTE: When I installed the game to begin with the initial mic setup that comes up at the end of the installation didn't work either. Those functions work in BF2 though.

Any ideas?

Okay I fixed the teamspeak issue by running TS as administrator so that is problem 1 dealt with.

I still do not have control over any of the VOIP, the settings nor the mic test are working for me in game and I have no idea what the fix for that is going to be. VOIP works in game but I just can't adjust any of the settings.

Make sure you turn on mike boost in vista sound first. Then you should be able to do it in game.

I have exactly the same problem but I am Windows XP - any fixes for this?

I know alot of people with this problem...

A fix would be nice, cause i never get to "play" with them...

ok this was my fix. Go to start> run the type dxdiag ( dxdiag works for vista but my laptop didnt let me change anything in it) go to the sounds tab and change it from standard to basic. This should help. Other wise look into muvixer.

i have the exact same problem,
me and my brother both have xp sp2 and we cant get the mic. working in project reality.
the games does reconize we have i mic i guess.
when I'm in squad i get the little mic. icon next to my name.
hope someone can help us.
