Lag all the time - help needed!

Okay so I'm using a wireless computer, vista and I have never had any problems. Then I install 0.8, and I get lag on every server. Now I don't know what has changed, I disable my firewall and anti-virus, i have run anti-virus checks and spyware checks, but I am getting 300 average ping on every server, which makes playing rather impossible. I have no idea what to do, I've tried resetting my router and modem, to no avail and leaving them competely unplugged for like 5-10 mins did nothing, I'm %99.9999 certain nothing unknown is DLing, and here is my speedtest results:

Please, any help would be mucho aprreciated

Try:

Windows Button + R

Type cmd, hit Enter

ping www.google.com

hit Enter

Turn 360 degrees and walk away is what you should do tbh.

(I am just stating this because of your speed results on your speedtest.net sig)In my humble opinion when my connection gets below 3 Mb/s I lag hard warping all over the place, maybe your connection is not fast enough?

Re: Lag all the time - help needed!

My connection is never faster than 3 mbs( I think it has once or something) I was playing COD 4 no problems, and then I played Op Barracuda for about 20 mins no problems, was doing well, then bang my ping goes to 700 and i die and it doesn't drop. The only thing I can think of is going wired but logistically it's more difficult. here is what happened.

C:\Users\Scot>ping www.google.com

Pinging www.google.com [66.102.9.99] with 32 bytes of data:

Reboot your modem, reboot your router, force your PC to reconnect to the router.

Run the same ping check again and report the findings.

Re: Lag all the time - help needed!

this is a very unscientific advice, but on my router simply restarting it does F all, try unplugging it and leaving it for like 30mins with all PCs on the network off aswell then plug in a boot up the PCs. Solves my net problems 90% of the time.

I don't accept responsiblity for any damage caused as with all my technicall advice. You have been warned]
