controls laging

it has been hapening for the past week or so. wen i move my mouse or try to make my guy move it takes a couple seconds before he does it. it is not lag and it has been fine for the past year. it seems to only be in tall grass and smoke. i have all my settings in high like they always have been. i have the usual things running in the background.
how can i fix this?

thanks.

Could be a number of things but..
Update your virus scanner and do a virus/spy-ware scan.
Turn off your virus scanner before you play.

Make sure your bf2.exe is running at "normal" priority in the windows task manager.
