BF2 crash

Ok > fixed my CD drive > CD works.... and i am re installing BF2 and PR

i just have my BF2 installed at the moment and i tried to run it but as soon as i get the BF2 logo up the game crashes...

any1 know what to do here?


running Vista 32 HP

cos i think it is wrong as when i start PR it says im trying to start BF2 and tell me to quit and change my shortcuts etc

Correct order of installing files is: first core, then levels and patch is going on the end.

But if PR says to change the shortcut, then change it before reinstall, you have to replace that BF2.exe with PR.exe, in the target box (right click on shortcut/properties).

ok installed in that order but still dont work > and it says pr.exe in the target

Is it still says same message, on that black screen, or it wont work in some different way now?

It says i need to start PR via PR.exe not BF2.exe.... but my PR shortcut says pr.exe in the target

for the start check out the link in my signature for how to install

yeh i re done everything and nothing ... i have attached a pic of the problem ... but yeh .. i have never had this problem before in stalling PR > all my other BF2 mods work fine

ok dont worry someone showed me how to start Mods in BF2 > community etc so works now

change the name on the bf2 shortcut to pr.exe
