Install problem

Ok heres the thing, I found out that my Battlefield 2 cd was broken while bf was uninstalled, and that was the 2nd cd. So therefore I downloaded a torrent containing the needed iso file for installing Battlefield, however when I try to install it the setup starts the bar goes to about 75ish%, screen blinks and setup closes. Same with trying to uninstall the game from the control panel.

Its mounted, and i've got the tools, I am just missing a solution.

Try making a disk image of your first cd as well. Mount them both on the desktop before you start the install. You can use Daemon tools to make it,It's free.

Bf2 game is selling for about $10 bucks US online.

Good luck

Re: Install problem

Just download a hole copy of bf2 then mount it enter ur CD key, install, play. If not buy a new one like thepalerider said.

Re: Install problem

I wont buy a new one, because I will most likely not be able to install it then either.

Re: Install problem

probably a broken image file or bad torrent
i suggest redownloading and md5 checking the files
maybe use a different torrent

got all windows updates?

That's like saying "My car broke down, but I'm not gonna buy a replacement because It most likely won't run ether.
Spend $10us for new bf2 CDs, then make a disk image of each disk. Keep the new CDs in a safe place. You can always sell the clean, only used once, CDs later, right?

He has all what matters - the CD key.

Buying a new copy just because EA is too greedy to use CD's that won't actually fall apart just by looking at it them is, IMO, plain stupid .

Turn 360 degrees and walk away is what you should do tbh.

Re: Install problem

Try EA Download Manager. If you have registered your original copy of BF2, it should be downloadable from EADM. I've purchased both BF2 and BF2124 in retail boxes, but I can also download them from EA.

Downloadable version does not require disks as it uses internet connection to verify your game.
