Hm, your game crashes and suddenly you have Vista installed on your PC? Interesting, might wanna try that, would save me to buy a license

Sorry couldn't resist.

But seriously, in my experience this is something that just happens from time to time. Did you search the Forums for other threads like that? I think there should be a lot of threads concerning Vista issues.

I've read 80% of CTD are overheating issues with the video card.
Open the case, put a desk fan blowing in then run the game again.
It's a good idea to run battlefield cleaner after a CTD to flush out your video card
cache.
If the CTD is gone add a extra fan or two.

Some are punkbuster but you usually get a error message.
Try running in "windows" mode (change the "1" at the end of your shortcut target to "0"
Example:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" start /+modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1
to
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" start /+modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 0

Good luck

Run battlefield cleaner

Try running the full 1.41 patch again

If it still craps out
Reinstall:
core
Levels

still?

Download pbsvc
use it to install pbsetup and
update pb flies with pbsetup

Run the test in pbsvc
should be all green if not uninstall pb with pbsvc
YOU MUST REBOOT before you reinstall pbsetup and update pb files.

Make sure your firewall has permission for:

PBSETUP.EXE
(search for your location)

PNKBSTRA.EXE
path:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSWOW64\PNKBSTRA.EXE

PnkBstrB.exe
path:
"C:\Users\"your user name here"\AppData\Roaming\PnkBstrB.exe"

If your still CTD or not getting in to any servers without crashing

Good luck

get the latest nvidia drivers, watch the temp. of your GPU.
