Did you download the core and level files?

There are plenty of threads on these sort of problems so have a browse round and your questions may be answered.

Welcome BTW.

Please review this very helpful guide

Note in section 2 of the INSTALLATION GUIDE step #4, I quote:
"Download the TWO separate Project Reality 0.756 Client Installers
from your preferred URL/torrent from the
realitymod.com Files Page
The two installers are listed as CORE and LEVELS."

Good luck

Question Re: Trouble starting a level

Hello, I bought BF 2 today and after som 6 hour playing i heard of this mod Project reality. I downloaded both the core and the levels. But I keep getting CTD when I try to join a server. It crashes at the end of Objects part of the loading bar.
Ive been googling for answers but nothing that helps me. I tried everything from reinstalling the latest BF2 patch and reinstalling PR core+levels (I did remove them first)

I simply just don't know what to do...

Run the full 1.41 patch
Install:
"core"
"levels"
OR
Assuming you correctly installed "core" and "levels"

Download pbsvc
Run pbsvc to install pbsetup
run pbsetup to update punk buster files.
Run pbsvc again this time run the "test"
If all green your go to go, just make sure your firewall is open for pb
"pnkbstrB.exe" errors are FIREWALL issues
Make sure your firewall has permission for:

PBSETUP.EXE
(search for your location)

PNKBSTRA.EXE
path:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSWOW64\PNKBSTRA.EXE

PnkBstrB.exe
path:
"C:\Users\"your user name here"\AppData\Roaming\PnkBstrB.exe"

If test fails run the uninstaller to remove pb then RESTART/REBOOT
Run pbsetup again and update/ test.

Run battlefield cleaner whenever you have a CTD to flush out video cache files.

If you still have issues try running in "window" mode.
Change your desktop short cuts target from "fullscreen 1" to "fullscreen 0"
Write down any error messages you get and post back

Remember to post your O/S and
system specks when asking for help.
It helps us help you

If your running Vista check "run as admin" and "XP compatible" in your PR shortcut.

Good luck

Hey again, I forgot the specs. Thats my fault.
So here what i did:

1. reinstalled BF2 and updated to v1.41

2. Installed punkbuster (seperate install) and everyting showed green.

3. Installed project reality 0.75 both core and levels (1. core 2. levels)

This didn't work. I even shut down NOD32. (My antivirus)

Then I saw your list and tried that.
4. I checked Punkbuser again and got this error?

I also checked all firewalls settings. and they where all green.

Tried again and no

5. Changed to Windowed mode and tried. Then I got the message that I havent seen before.

Somthing about a carnhorn?!?!

My specs are:

Intel 2160 1.8 Ghz (clocked to 3.0 Ghz and stays cool enough for gaming)
Geforce 6600Gt (Was a little hot on full load but no crash.)
2 gb of RAM
2* 250 gb harddrive
550w PSU

Oh, and remember that I am swedish so my english is not the best.

Thanks for the help so far!
