The OSX side is completely unaffected, and has been unaffected through all the various windows screw-ups that have occurred with my setup. You need at least 20GB to start the partition but its completely up to you to set the size above that (depending on the total size of your HD obv). Id also recommend using NTFS rather than FAT32 for the filesystem, seeing as FAT32 doesnt allow individual files over 4GBs. On the other hand, FAT 32 does allow you to transfer files from your OSX side to the windows partition though, which can be very useful.

Trust me, i felt the same as you when i first installed it, but 99.9% of the time, any problems you'll have will be constrained to the windows side (because XP is utter bollocks) and wont touch your valuable OSX partition .

I really recommend it though, only way your ever going to play PR on a mac anyway.

I use it as well with BootCamp. Only thing I noticed was the shutdown timer on my mac osx account was slower than without. We tested it. Without bootcamp it usualy turns off in 3 secs. But with it, it takes a while longer.
